Frequently asked questions

What is FashUp?

FashUp is a mobile app that digitises your wardrobe and recommends outfits using AI. You can add clothing photos, track what you wear, get weather-based suggestions, and view statistics like CPW (cost-per-wear).

The app crashes or won't open

Close and reopen the app; restart your device if needed. Make sure you have the latest version from the App Store or Google Play. If the issue persists, email support@fashup.app with your device model and app version.

Photo upload or AI analysis isn't working

Check that camera and gallery permissions are enabled (Settings → FashUp). Ensure your internet connection is stable. Large files may take a moment — wait a few seconds and try again.

I can't sign in with Google or Apple

Make sure the relevant account is signed in on your device. Try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data. Send a screenshot of the error message to our support team.

I'm not receiving notifications

Check your preferences in Settings → Notifications inside the app. Also confirm that notifications for FashUp are enabled in your iOS / Android system settings.

Location or weather suggestion is wrong

If you granted location permission, the app uses your current position; otherwise it uses the city set in your profile. You can update your city / country in profile settings.

How do I change the language?

Go to Settings → Language inside the app to switch between Turkish and English.

What is the AI consent prompt?

Before using AI features (wardrobe analysis, outfit suggestions) for the first time, FashUp shows a mandatory disclosure explaining what data is sent, to whom (OpenAI, LLC), and why (fashion styling only). This is required by App Store Guideline 5.1.2. You can revoke consent later via Settings → Privacy Disclosure → Revoke Consent.

Are my photos used to train AI models?

No. Your photos are transmitted to OpenAI solely to process your request (e.g. identify a clothing item). They are not retained by OpenAI after processing and are not used to train any AI models, per OpenAI's API usage policy.

Account & security

  • Change password: Settings → Security
  • Delete account: Settings → Security → Delete My Account (irreversible; wardrobe and outfits are permanently deleted)
  • Sign out: Settings → Sign out

If you can't access your account, email support@fashup.app from your registered address — identity verification may be required.

My data & privacy

  • Export data: Settings → Export My Data (JSON download)
  • AI consent: Settings → Privacy Disclosure → Revoke Consent
  • Personal data processing: Privacy Policy
  • Terms of service: Terms of Service
